Fifteen original sketches. Garment studies for shows by the choreographer Gene Reed in gouache over graphite on wove paper. Mostly signed, dated and inscribed with sewing and tailoring instructions in pencil. Under glass in wooden frame. Each 66.5 x 51.5 cm. Gelsenkirchen around 1978: Designs for "Bolero-Damen" (2), "Trocadéro-Damen" (5) . - III. 4 designs for "Ladies Ballet". - IV. A dirndl - V. A riding costume and others. In dance poses, stylized figurines show extravagant, dazzling vaudeville costumes adorned with a variety of accessories such as boas, silk stockings, suspenders, patent leather boots, sequins, pearls, necklaces, hats, skirts, leotards, dirndls, tutus, corsages, evening gloves, umbrellas and feathers. - With various annotations in Mrs. Schröder's hand, mostly sewing and color instructions, comments on usage and instructions on costume details etc. In very good condition.
