Yoël Benharrouche (born 1961) Balancing in threes to support life as it sings, Oil on canvas, signed lower left. Titled and countersigned on the back Sight size: H: 59; W: 59 cm Yoel Benharrouche was born in 1961 in Beersheba, Israel. He arrived in France at the age of 12, and from 1985 trained at the Beaux Arts in Nice and at the Villa Béatrix, where he perfected his techniques. His great commitment and sensitivity led him to become an eminent drawing and painting teacher at Nice's Académie Paganini. Greatly influenced by masters such as Chagall, Picasso and Miro, his aesthetic is rooted in spiritual inspirations, as well as in his lifelong study of religious texts from the Jewish tradition. His constantly evolving work evokes a passion for color, life and the spiritual nature of existence. In 1993, he and his family returned to Israel, his native land and the ideal place for his inspiration. Critics hailed him as a confirmed talent, and his work can now be found in major international collections.

Spanish school; 1924. "The civil guard". Watercolor and graphite on paper. Signed and dated in the lower right corner. Measurements: 34 x 27 cm; 46 x 40 cm (frame). Scene that presents a civil guard on the phone, with his back to the viewer. Aesthetically the work is heir to the painting of Normal Rockwell, who used archetypes of contemporary life in completely everyday situations, aesthetically influenced by a style linked to illustration and advertising. Therefore, in this apparently simple image, it is possible to appreciate a certain content of denunciation by the author.

JUAN ADSUARA RAMOS (Castellón, 1893 - 1973). "Waterwoman". Plaster. Signed on the left side. Measurements: 16 x 15 x 17 cm. Born in Castellón and encouraged by his school teacher, since he was a child he was exercised in the drawing and in view of his aptitudes he was pensioned by the Provincial Council of Castellón to study in the School of San Fernando of Madrid. In 1912 he obtained the third medal in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts. After returning from military service in his hometown, he made some busts, decorative and monumental sculptures for public buildings. He worked throughout his life and traveled with scholarships and competitions awarded to him. Above all, he was a great admirer of religious imagery, Berruguete being his greatest master. He was an outstanding member of the Valencian avant-garde of the 1930s.
