Johann Elias Ridinger, Drei Tierdarstellungen Wild boar on the run, par force hunt and stag rearing up, each with a description of the subject below the depiction, copper engravings, each inscribed in the plate "J. E. Ridinger del. sculps. ed. excud." and two works dated "1742" and "1753", one sheet a later print, framed under glass, dimensions without writing approx. 25.5 x 27 cm. Artist's information: German painter, graphic artist and publisher (1698 Ulm - 1767 Augsburg), pupil of his father Johann Ridinger, from ca. 1711 pupil of the painter Christoph Resch in Ulm, from 1713-14 with Johann Falch in Augsburg, through the mediation of Gabriel Spitzel three years in the service of Count Metternich in Regensburg, from ca. 1718 pupil of Georg Philipp Rugendas the Elder at the Augsburg City Academy, appointed "Assessor of the Protestant Marriage Court" in 1757 and Director of the City Academy in 1759, became famous for his depictions of animals and hunting, which made up a large part of his work, source: Thieme-Becker, Wikipedia and Internet.

Rogge" lower left and illegibly titled, minimally stained, mounted under passepartout, sheet dimensions approx. 33 x 56 cm. Artist info: German painter, architect and university teacher. Painter, architect and university lecturer (1854 Rostock to 1933 Berlin-Buch), from 1871 studied at the Polytechnic in Munich and at the Academy in Munich, worked as a teacher in Augsburg at the beginning of the 1880s, subsequently settled in Berlin, where he wrote works on architectural history, from 1889 teacher at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Lisbon and appointed professor in 1891, from 1893 member of the Allgemeine Deutsche Künstlergenossenschaft, subsequently settled in Berlin again, source: Thieme-Becker, Matrikeln der Münchner Akademie and Wikipedia.
