This work is the first against the Augsburg Interim, which he also opposed with his "Christian Objections to the Interim", which so outraged Charles V that he put a bounty of 5,000 guilders on Adler's head. Adler had to go into hiding for a long time, but later returned to his position as Lutheran superintendent in Saalfeld. Spotty throughout.
