AUBUSSON, TAPESTRY in wool and silk. In the suite of the engraving by Claudine Bouzonnet Stella (1636-1697) "La danse" or "La ronde". With its border decorated with scrolls, foliage, scallops, trumpets and dolphins, as well as a trophy featuring a sword and a fleurdelisé scepter on scales. The upper corners are adorned with a coat of arms stamped with a count's crown, and the lower corners with a medallion containing a Sacred Heart. 17th century. Height: 2.60 m. Length: 4.50 m. (Wear). Provenance: former collections of a château in the Loc'h valley, Pays d'Auray. The intaglio engraving by Claudine Bouzonnet Stella (1638-1697), "Le Branle" is kept at the Bibliothèque municipale de Lyon (F17BOU005367), from the Pastorales series. For example, the coat of arms in the upper left, "azure, demi-vol dextre d'argent posé en bande", suggests the Blanc de Luveaune family, which produced several councillors to the Parlement de Provence in Aix.
