Icon "St. Nicholas of Myra" tempera with gold ground on wood. Half-length depiction of St. Nicholas in the liturgical garb of a hierarch with omophrium. His right hand raised in a gesture of blessing, the open Gospel in his left. Above, Christ and Mary are depicted in the clouds, handing the saint the Gospel and stole as a sign of his office. On the side, the patron saint is flanked by two further depictions of saints. Inscribed in Church Slavonic; 26.5 cm x 22 cm x 2.4 cm. A Russian icon depicting "Saint Nikolaus". Tempera with gold on wood. Russia. Late 19th century.
