Kris Madura, Indonesia 19th century Total length in sheath approx. 50 cm No export outside the EU! This kris has an unusually patterned pamor (damask technique) on the straight blade and a finely carved handle in the shape of an ornamentally designed rakshasa, a protective demon, dissolved in scrolls and tendrils. The simple wooden scabbard, which derives its aesthetics solely from its grain, contrasts with the rich decoration of the weapon.

Kris Sumatra mount 19th to early 20th century, blade older Total length in scabbard approx. 36 cm No export outside the EU! Kris with very old straight blade (pamor not recognisable) and handle in the shape of a Jawa Demam, a mythological hybrid of man and bird. The grip ring is missing. The scabbard is made of wood and covered with sheet silver with finely embossed floral decoration. Crisis represented precious family heirlooms.

Kris Surakarta (Solo), Java 19th to early 20th century Total length in scabbard approx. 49 cm Kris with beautifully pamorised straight blade and more recent wooden mountings. The smooth grip is finely ornamented in two places, the scabbard with a ladrang wrangka (scabbard sheath) and sheet brass. The number 1 is embossed on it, presumably indicating its use by the Dutch colonial forces.
