A SMALL SANCAI GLAZED POTERRY GLOBULAR BOX AND COVER, TANG DYNASTY STYLE A SMALL SANCAI GLAZED POTERRY GLOBULAR BOX AND COVER, TANG DYNASTY STYLE China, 20th century or earlier. Of globular form, the box and cover with ochre splashes and green accents above a creamy white glaze suffused with a dense network of crackles stopping irregularly above the foot. The cover set with a bud-shaped finial above a flat circular base. The box supported on a short straight foot ring. Provenance: From an old Bavarian private collection, assembled since the 1960s. Condition: Good condition with minor wear, a hairline crack along the wall of the lid, light surface scratches, little nibbling, encrustations, and firing flaws including spur marks and uneven glazing. Weight: 207.7 g Dimensions: Height 10.3 cm
