Of baluster shape, finely carved through the outer ruby-red layer to the clear glass ground with two dragons chasing the flaming pearl. The neck ringed in metal and surmounted by the jadeite stopper set in metal platelet. The underside incised with a four-character Xianfeng Reign mark (1850-1861) and possibly of the period. The recessed base with an apocryphal four-character Qianlong mark. Provenance: Hungarian private collection. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, few nicks, and light surface scratches.
