OMEGA CONSTELLATION DAY-DATE. REF. 396.1070/1080. CIRCA 1990 CASE: steel tonneau, gold bezel with engraved and painted Roman numeral hour markers, snap-on caseback. DIAL: white, applied plot markers, railway track, two counters for weekday and month. MOVEMENT: quartz, Eta 255472 base. BRACELET: flat steel links and gold bars, folding clasp with extension, ref. 1448/431, signed. Dial and case signed. Numbered 51'063'014. DIAM. 31 mm Also known as the "Hibou", this model is part of the Manhattan Collection, which made a name for itself as soon as it was launched in 1982. A quartz chronometer, the case is clasped by four claws that press against the glass and ensure improved water-resistance (European patent 91.683 of 1983). The model was designed by Carol Didisheim, based on an idea by Pierre-André Aellen. CONDITION REPORT : missing black on some bezel numerals Microrayurs from use, bracelet a little loose.
