A CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE BISCUIT FIGURE OF GUANDI, 19TH-20TH CENTURY A Chinese porcelain figure of a Guandi, seated on a throne, wearing a long robe and holding a scroll in his right hand, his fierce face framed by a long beard and tall cap, his robe brightly glazed in yellow, green and aubergine, decorated around his belly with a facing yellow dragon. The bottom stamped with a Chinese Qianlong six character mark. Height: 37 cm. A small piece of the ribbon around the cup is missing.

Standing on a red-lacquer pedestal wearing long robes, both arms raised in front holding a hu tablet, his hair pulled up into a chignon, the bearded face with a pensive expression flanked by long strands of black hair. Condition: Good condition with some wear, casting flaws, touchups. Few nicks and chips to the lacquer. Provenance: Austrian trade. Weight: 359 g Dimensions: Height 15 cm
