Each mounted in passepartout. - Delicate and quite inconspicuous brownstaining due to paper. Occasional small moisture stains in sheet margins and delicately browned. Overall very good. Splendid as well as excellent, richly colored and velvety impressions each with margins. Buchholz/Roters K 57- K 62 - One of 75 copies each. - From the portfolio "Buchholz 6 signierte Serigraphien", published by Edition Panderma Carl Laszlo Basel. 6 works. Provenance: Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, 05/25/2016, lot 57. Moses Soyer was a Borisoglebsk-born American realist painter. He studied art in Cooper Union, and later at National Academy of Design. He had his first solo exhibition in 1926 and began teaching art the following year at the Contemporary Art School and The New School. Soyer's work is in collections of many museums, including Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Philadelphia Museum of Art.
