Signed, dated and numbered. - Corners barely noticeably bumped, verso upper left with superficial paper abrasion, upper right with adhesive mounting. Overall very good. Splendid, rich and textured print with narrow margins. One of 20 copies. - Typical personal work by Martin Noel, in which he imprints his unmistakable formal structure in his preferred medium of woodcut: Surface and line are central to the composition and in a tension-filled relationship. Color woodcut on acrylic-coated paper. Signed, dated and numbered. - Corners barely noticeably bumped, on the verso upper left with superficial paper abrasion, upper right with adhesive mounting. He had his first solo exhibition in 1926 and began teaching art the following year at the Contemporary Art School and The New School. Soyer's work is in collections of many museums, including Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Philadelphia Museum of Art.
