Dimensions from 18.5 x 14 cm to approx. 29 x 17.5 cm. Each monogrammed and signed and dated on verso, 1 work titled. - Each framed free-standing in a black model frame (1 work unopened). - Small air bubbles between the collages and the plexiglass due to the technique and inherent to the work. Apparently in good condition. The Polish artist worked as a painter, textile artist and ceramicist, so that her work oscillated fluidly between art and craft. She worked in Vienna, Berlin and Positano, Italy. She settled in the latter and was able to open a workshop where she produced and sold her works directly. Stylistically, Kowaliska's work was characterized by naïve painting, but also by the pictorial language of Orthodox and Christian icon painting. In addition to stained glass, Orthodox icons can also be found in her work, especially from the 1950s onwards, so that our works from the late 1970s are personal-stylistic. 2 depictions of the Madonna.
