Verso mounted freestanding under passepartout and framed under glass. - In eh. Passepartout sections quite slightly darkened, paper quite slightly browned in outer edges, good overall. Quite excellent, in places wonderfully burnished prints from Chagall's early graphic work with clearly impressed platemark and margin. Kornfeld 66-69, Cramer 5th - Each one of 80 impressions of the total edition of 960 copies, numbered in the imprint. - The almost complete set of the 5-part portfolio "Maternité". - Includes: Birth - Fight - Couple in bed - Visit through the window. - Printed by Louis Fort, Paris 1926. 4 drypoint etchings, one with aquatint, on Van Gelder Zonen wove paper (with watermark). Spot-mounted to mat's back and framed under glass. - Very slightly darkened in former mat section, paper in outer edges very slightly browned, all in all good. Very superb, mostly wonderfully burr-like impressions of the Chagall's early graphic oeuvre, with clearly impressed plate mark and margin. - Each one of 80 copies from the total edition of 960. - Almost complete series of the 5-parted portfolio "Maternité".- Printed by Louis Fort, Paris 1926. - With works as mentioned above.
