Swedish School, c.1780 Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in a buff-coloured coat and lace jabot; Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a silver dress with ornate lace ruff and a hat bedecked with flowers a pair, the latter indistinctly inscribed l.c., oil on canvas, oval 70 x 53cm (2) Condition Report: Overall: 83 x 66cm We believe the paintings to be circa.1770s. Craquelure. Stretcher marks. Light surface dirt. Some surface scuffs, abrasions and spots of retouching to the portrait of a gentleman. Not examined under UV light, for a full report please contact the department.
