After Sir Anthony van Dyck Portrait of Sir Kenelm Digby, bust-length in black oil on canvas 60 x 51cm Condition Report: Overall: 77 x 65cm Late 17th/ early 18th century. Craquelure and surface dirt with light surface scuffs and abrasions. Some thinning to the paint on the sitter's face with scattered spots of retouching to the sitter's forehead. There are larger patches of restoration visible to the sitter's forehead on the right side and and beneath the sitter's left eye. Not examined under UV light, for a full report please contact the department.
