Two Saxon officer's swords, 19th/20th century Swords M 1867 for infantry officers (circa 1914) with a beautifully preserved hexagonal blade with triple fullers on both sides, the maker's mark "C.E." (Carl Eickhorn, Solingen), on the obverse side the etched inscription "Eisenhauer garantiert" and the crowned ruler's cipher "FAR". Iron knuckle-bow hilt in relief (traces of gilding, rust), the openwork, unsprung guard plate with crowned Saxon coat of arms, black plastic grip with iron wire winding. Black lacquered steel scabbard (traces of rust) with a movable suspension ring. Comes with a rapier with a shortened blade (pitted, Solingen wolf's mouth mark, etchings "Eisenhauer" and "J.W.Seiffarth & Sohn/Dresden"), somewhat deformed non-ferrous metal hilt (lion's head, the Saxon coat of arms under a crown on the grip), in a steel scabbard (pitted). Partially damaged, signs of use and age. Length 103 cm and 83 cm. Condition: II
