Nymphenburg large statue of Elector Karl Theodor after the marble sculpture made by Peter Anton von Verschaffelt around 1756/57 in the Knights' Hall of the Mannheim Residential Palace, impressed mark from 1905, naturalistic moulding in white porcelain, the Palatinate-Bavarian Elector standing on a rectangular base in regalia with a collar of the Order of St Hubert and an elector's hat lying on the ground, rare, the base with heavy firing cracks and the back of the coat somewhat scratched, otherwise in good condition, h 56.5 cm.

Paris, Didot l'ainé, 1815. 6 vol. in-16, midnight blue long-grain morocco, gilt filets and fine serrated roulette framing the covers, spines with ornate nerves (Motet). From the Collection des meilleurs ouvrages de la langue française dédiée aux dames. The collection of tales includes: Le Bélier, Histoire de Fleur d'Épine, Les quatre Facardins. With a note on Hamilton's life in the Mémoires du comte de Grammont. The French-speaking Scottish writer Antoine Hamilton (1646-1720) was the successful originator of the satirical and libertine tale in the 18th century. He was the brother-in-law of Philibert, Comte de Gramont (1621-1707). The latter, compromised during the Fronde, took refuge at the court of Charles II of England, which Hamilton describes piquantly. Covers slightly rubbed. A charming copy, on wove paper, in blue morocco by Motet, a Parisian bookbinder of the first half of the 19th century.
