A GREEN JADEITE IMITATION GLASS OPIUM PIPE, DATED 1911 A GREEN JADEITE IMITATION GLASS OPIUM PIPE, DATED 1911 South China. The pipe is constructed from two pieces of apple-green jade connected by a copper band incised with a dragon, all with a smooth polish. The bowl holder is made of copper with repoussé and chiseled details depicting two dragons. The wooden bowl with a copper cover similarly decorated with a sinuous dragon encircling the central aperture and incised to the underside of the bowl with ‘year of Xinhai (1911)’. The semi-translucent stone is of a striking apple green tone with scattered cloudy pale inclusions. Provenance: French trade. Condition: Good condition with light wear, the mount with nicks, scratches, and minor dents. The pipe with minor wear. Weight: 707.7 g Dimensions: Length 43.3 cm
