Large mahogany and mahogany veneered secrétaire en armoire à ressaut et colonne détachée. It opens with a drawer in the entablature, a flap at the top revealing a locker, six drawers and four cardboard boxes, and two leaves at the bottom concealing a locker and a safety deposit box. The straight rear uprights and detached column fronts are decorated with copper fluting. They stand on toupie feet. The ensemble is adorned with rich, finely chased and gilded bronze trim, such as dentilled cornices, oval and darted frames, fretted plates, moldings, Corinthian capitals, rings and sabots.
