Pair of chased and gilded bronze "Reclining Lions" andirons. They stand on pedestals adorned on the front with a moustachioed man's mask. The tops, encircled by an oak-leaf frieze, rest on four "console" uprights with leafy scrolls, joined by oak-leaf garlands. France. 18th century. Attributed to Philippe Caffieri (1714 - 1774) H_28 cm W_30 cm D_14 cm Worn gilding.
