Pair of "checkered" stools in carved, molded, painted and gilded oak. They are decorated on all four sides with cartouches and flowering stems. The cambered legs, embellished with leafy falls, rest on acanthus scrolls. They are topped with cushions covered in embroidered silk. Probably Germany. Mid-18th century. H_56 cm W_61 cm D_49 cm.
