Japan, Satsuma, late Meiji period (1868-1912) Large porcelain stoneware baluster vase, with handles featuring a lion's mouth mascaron holding non-removable rings, decorated with flowering branches and perched birds, enhanced with gold. Bronze mounting and stand. H. 66 cm. (old restoration on the top edge).
