SOLOMON RICHARD: (1850-1913) South African attorney and legislator who served as Agent-General of the Transvaal 1907-10 and as the first High Commissioner of South Africa to the United Kingdom 1910-13. A.L.S., Richard Solomon, one page, 8vo, Victoria Street, Westminster, London, 8th January n.y., to Miss. Ward, on the printed stationery of the Agent General for the Transvaal. Solomon states that he shall be glad to see his correspondent´s nephew, Mr. Thorpe, any day the following week except Tuesday, and further explains that the best time to find him in would be between 10 and 12 in the morning.
