BRITISH PRIME MINISTERS: A multiple signed Royal Mail First Day Cover by three former British Prime Ministers individually, comprising John Major (1990-97), Tony Blair (1997-2007) and Boris Johnson (2019-22), the cover issued to commemorate Flags and Ensigns and featuring four different postage stamps, post marked at Edinburgh, 22nd October 2001. Signed by each in bold black inks with their names alone to clear areas; Margaret Thatcher (1925-2013) British Prime Minister 1979-90. Signed official Conservative Party cover issued for the First European Parliamentary Elections and featuring a colour image of a statue of Winston Churchill. Signed by Thatcher in black fountain pen ink with her name alone to a clear area. Post marked at London, 9th May 1979; Harold Wilson (1916-1995) British Prime Minister 1964-70, 1974-76. Signed 3.5 x 5.5 photograph of Wilson seated in a half-length pose at his desk. Signed in blue ink with his name alone to the lower border. VG, 3

Jean-Baptiste Billot, 1828 - 1907, multi-decorated career soldier, was a deputy from Feb. 8, 1871 to March 7, 1876, then an immovable senator and minister. Folio, 305x213 mm. pp. 5, 3 blanks. Text in French, cursive writing, brown ink. Good condition. Copy of the letter from Billot, French ambassador to Portugal, addressed to the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Charles de Freycinet.
