[NESSELRODE KARL & GORCHAKOV ALEXANDER]: Karl Nesselrode (1780-1862) Russian Count, Diplomat and Foreign Affairs Minister 1816-56, & Alexander Gorchakov (1798-1883) Russian diplomat and statesman who served as Foreign Affairs Minister of the Russian Empire 1856-82. Two original and contemporary photograph visiting cards of the two Russian Foreign Affairs Ministers who occupied the Ministry during almost the whole nineteenth century, Nesselrode holding the post for fourty years and Gorchakov who succeeded him for the following tweny-six years. The Russian sepia images are showing the two influential and internationally respected iplomats in full-length formal poses. VG
