Bernadotte´, a bold ink signature with flourish, one page, 4to, Hanover Head Quarters, 11th August 1804, to General Nivaud, in French. Bernadotte sends a request to his correspondent, General Nivaud, stating in part `je vous envoie, Général, deux réclamations qui m´ont été adréssées par des négociants prussiens et hanovriens... vous donnerez les ordres nécessaires pour les laisser passer´ (Translation: “I send to you, General, two claims which have been addressed to me by two businessmen from Prussia and Hanover... you will give the necessary orders allowing them to cross the boundary") Paper with attractive watermark. With blank integral leaf. Very small minor age wear, not affecting the signature. G
