RUSSIAN COSMONAUTS: A good collection of vintage signed postcard photographs by each of the first eleven Russian cosmonauts to venture into space comprising Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968) Soviet cosmonaut, the first human to journey into outer space, Vostok 1, 1961, signed and inscribed postcard photograph of Gagarin in a half-length pose wearing his uniform and holding a white dove in his hands, signed in blue fountain pen ink to the lower white border and dated 16th October 1964 in his hand; Gherman Titov (1935-2000) Soviet cosmonaut, the second human to orbit the earth, Vostok 2, 1961, signed and inscribed postcard photograph of Titov in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform and medals, signed in blue fountain pen ink to the lower white border and dated 12th January 1965 in his hand; Andriyan Nikolayev (1929-2004) Soviet cosmonaut who flew on Vostok 3, 1962, signed and inscribed postcard photograph of Nikolayev in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform and with a printed caption to the base, signed in blue fountain pen ink to a light area of the background and dated 19th September 1963 in his hand; Pavel Popovich (1930-2009) Soviet cosmonaut who flew on Vostok 4, 1962, signed and inscribed colour postcard photograph of Popovich in a smiling head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform and cap, signed in blue fountain pen ink to a light area of the background and dated 17th September 1963 in his hand; Valery Bykovsky (1934-2019) Soviet cosmonaut who flew on Vostok 5, 1963, signed postcard photograph of Bykovsky in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform and medals, signed in dark fountain pen ink with his name alone to a clear area of the background; Valentina Tereshkova (1937- ) Soviet cosmonaut, the first woman ever to fly in space, travelling on Vostok 6, 1963, signed postcard photograph of Tereshkova in a semi-profile head and shoulders pose, signed in blue fountain pen ink to the lower white border and dated 5th September 1963 in her hand; Vladimir Komarov (1927-1967) Soviet cosmonaut who commanded Voskhod 1, 1964 and later became the first human to die in a space flight, rare signed postcard photograph of Komarov in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform, signed in fountain pen ink to a darker area at the base of the image and dated 31st October 1964 in his hand; Konstantin Feoktistov (1926-2009) Soviet cosmonaut who flew on Voskhod 1, 1964, signed postcard photograph of Feoktistov in a head and shoulders pose, signed in fountain pen ink to the image and dated 28th October 1964 to the lower white border; Boris Yegorov (1937-1994) Soviet cosmonaut who flew on Voskhod 1, 1964, signed postcard photograph of Yegorov in a head and shoulders pose, signed in fountain pen ink to a darker area of the image and dated 31st October 1964 in his hand; Pavel Belyayev (1925-1970) Soviet cosmonaut who flew on Voskhod 2, 1965, signed postcard photograph of Belyayev in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform and medals, signed in dark blue fountain pen ink to the lower white border and dated 27th March 1965; and Alexei Leonov (1934-2019) Soviet cosmonaut, the first person to conduct a spacewalk, Voskhod 2, 1965, signed postcard photograph of Leonov in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform and medals, signed in black ink to a light area of the background (very slightly trimmed to the right white border, only very slightly affecting the signature). Accompanied by the original passport of Nina Ivanovna Ukolitskaya to whom the photographs were presented and who was employed within Sergei Korolev's design bureau.
