IONESCO EUGENE: (1909-1994) Romanian-French playwright. A.L.S., Gene Ioneso, one page, 8vo, Paris, 31st May 1971, to a friend, in French. Ionesco writes a brief, friendly letter, thanking his correspondent for their letters, photographs, ´et pour tout, et pour Marie-France´ (Translation: ´and for everything, and for Marie-France´), further sending his respects to Helene and in a postscript remarking ´Felicitations pour votre promotion´ (Translation: ´Congratulations on your promotion´). Some light, minor creasing, otherwise VG Ionesco and his wife had one daughter, Marie-France, for whom the playwright wrote a number of unconventional children´s stories.
