An interesting A.L.S., with his real name ` L.F. Destouches´, two pages, 4to, n.p., n.d., [1942], to a friend, in French. Celine states in part ` You must be hearing bells... So many regrets since your departure. The poor people are even poorer. And it is not only a little bit.. Things are not getting better, they worsen.. All is bursting of hunger and cold..´ further saying ` Things are happening very quickly now. England is becoming Bolshevik at a glance..´ and before concluding states ` I find myself almost alone.
