Hergé thanks his correspondent for the comic page forwarded and sends a warm and friendly message, stating ` Merci pour les pages 18bis and 18ter de "Tintin en Amérique", qui sont vraiment très drôles! Pas un seul instant, croyez-le bien, je n´ai vu une critique dans vos "fantaisies". Bien au contraire, je les ai vivement appréciées! Je compatis sincèrement à votre douleur d´avoir perdu votre maman et je forme des voeux pour le rétablissement de votre père.´ (Translation: " Thank you for pages 18bis and 18ter of "Tintin in America", which are really very funny!
