1993 PEUGEOT 306 1.8 Couleur et Matière

French registration title The car we are presenting is the only prototype produced by the Peugeot styling centre’s Couleur & Matière department; a first-phase example whose lines are enhanced by the Luxor yellow tint that will be used on the 406 Coupé in 1997 Exceptional provenance: stored in the Aventure Peugeot Citroën reserves for most of its life, then for over a year in the personal collection of the Trust’s drummer The bodywork is well preserved and has been improved by the current owner, but the interior is not perfect, showing the few faults of a car presented at the major motor shows The unique tone-on-tone leather upholstery is to the highest effect, and the black soft top comes with a yellow houndstooth top cover that can be fitted as an extra! With less than 900 km on the clock at the time of writing, this 306 Cabriolet is certainly one of the lowest mileage cars in the world; despite this, it is in very good working order, and our test drive in the streets of Paris was very conclusive; recent general overhaul... This is probably the only opportunity you’ll ever have to buy such an important piece of Peugeot history, especially when it’s on the road and brings so much pleasure to its driver! Please note that it is imperative to contact the auction house and register before bidding on this lot. No bid will be validated without prior registration.
