The sketchbook contains numerous construction drawings and technical sketches of weapons, vehicles, lifting systems and fountains, among other things. - Near mint condition. 2 vols. Original brown calf with 2 metal clasps and orig. cloth in orig. calf case (the case with small rubbed spot). - One of 599 copies of the deluxe edition. - The manuscript of the Renaissance artist Martini was created around 1464-1478 in Siena/Urbino. Martini left behind a remarkable work on architecture and technology. He was a contemporary of Leonardo da Vinci, who was only a few years younger.
