An 18th Century 20-Bore Travelling Flintlock Pistol by Elston of Doncaster, Circa 1820. Having a turn-off cannon barrel, stamped with Birmingham proof marks beneath the breech, box lock action engraved with foliate scrolls, signed Elston on the right and inscribed Doncaster on the left. The figured walnut butt inlaid with scrolling silver wire ornamentation, with an engraved steel but cap and trigger guard decorated with a flower on the bow. The barrel 6'' (15.24 cm) in length, 12'' (30.48 cm) overall length. Presented on an ebonised stand.
