His artillery officer's saber model 1822/99 de Général de Brigade, from the "Manufacture nationale d'armes de Châtellerault Aout 1916". Half-broken brass mounting with three secondary limbs and one counter-guard limb, undecorated, short-tail cap with bead topped by a short-tail dome-button, monogrammed "PC". Plate ending in a beak and encircled by two riveted silvered metal stars. Horn spindle with triple copper filigree. Leather tie. Slightly curved white blade with hollow sides and flat back, marked "Manufacture Nationale d'Armes de Châtellerault, Aout 1916, Officier d'Artillerie modèle 1822-99". Nickel-plated steel scabbard with traces of oxidation and missing in places, one suspension ring and asymmetrical stinger. Comes with regulation brown leather strap. 106 cm (Blade 89.5 cm). (Wear and tear. Fairly good condition).

Gilt cast brass mounting (remains) with two secondary branches decorated at their base with palmettes, cap with button dome bead and short tail edged with a laurel leaf garland. Handle in brown horn with brass filigree. Guard plate ending in a beak decorated with a 7-branched palmette surmounted by 2 small acanthus leaves arranged in a cross. Tie missing. White blade with nickel-plated finish, slightly curved, with hollow front and flat back, illegible manufacturer's mark on the heel. Steel scabbard with one suspension ring and asymmetrical stinger with stained gray patina. 100.5 cm (Blade 86.5 cm). (Saber restored in the past, basane and watermark later, blade with traces of heating and slightly twisted one centimeter after the heel. As is).
