A SMALL JAPANESE ARCHERY SET, EDO PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY comprising bow of flattened horn, the inner face carved with a dragon and an exotic bird, recurved terminals; the arrows comprising nine with iron leaf-shaped tips and bamboo shafts and another, longer, with pierced leaf-shaped head, all contained with a recurved horn stand enclosed with tooled gilt leather around the base, the bow: 56.0 cm.
