[OPERATION VENGEANCE]: A multiple signed softcover edition of Yamamoto Returns! A True Story of Reincarnation by Dennis Dallison, published by the Unarius Educational Foundation, 1985, signed by seven American pilots who participated in Operation Vengeance, the American top secret military operation to kill Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto of the Imperial Japanese Navy on 18th April 1943 during the Solomon Islands campaign in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, comprising Rex T. Barber (1917-2001) American Colonel and fighter pilot, credited for shooting down Yamamoto´s plane; Thomas G. Lanphier Jr. (1915-1987) Panama-born American Colonel and fighter pilot who was firstly given sole credit, and later partial credit, shared with Barber, for shooting down Yamamoto´s plane; John W. Mitchell (1914-1995) American Colonel, a flying ace who was the leader of Operation Vengeance; Louis Kittel (1918-1998) American Lieutenant Colonel; Doug Canning (1919-2016) American Lieutenant Colonel; Julius ´Jack´ Jacobson (d.2005) American Major; and Besby Holmes (1917-2006) American Lieutenant Colonel, the latter four all being fighter pilots who provided air cover and acted as reserves during the mission. Six of the ink signatures appear to the title page, most adding their ranks etc. beneath their signatures, and Holmes has signed to the opposite page with a lengthy inscription in his hand, in part, ´I had as you know two encounters with Admiral Yamamoto. The first when his forces beat the hell out of us at Hawaii Dec. 7 1941. The second was Apr 18 1943 when we intercepted Adm Yamamoto and his entire personal staff. No one knew who had shot down Adm Y until a portion of Adm Ugaki´s diary was published.....´. Some very light, extremely minor age wear, VG
