MANCINELLI LUIGI: (1848-1921) Italian conductor, cellist and composer who served as chief conductor of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, from 1888-1905. A small group of three A.Ls.S., L Mancinelli, each to the recto (2) or verso (1) of his personal printed small oblong 12mo Visiting Cards, each featuring his printed name to the centre and one with his address at Villa Mancinelli, Meina, Lake Maggiore, to the base, 28th December 1902 and n.d. (2), all to Max Hirsch. In each of the brief letters Mancinelli asks his correspondent to provide seats to the bearers, including the pianist Mr. Copeland, and a memer of Mascagni´s orchestra. Some light staining to one of the cards, and with minor age wear, G to VG, 3
