AUDRAN EDMOND: (1840-1901)

AUDRAN EDMOND: (1840-1901) French composer. A.N.S., E, Audran, to the recto of his personal printed oblong 12mo Visiting Card, featuring his printed name to the centre and address at Rue Guillaume Tell, Avenue de Villiers (Paris) at the base, n.d. (c.1890), in French. Audran writes, in full, 'Mille remerciements pour le delicieux article sur Miss Helyett dans le petit moniteur' (Translation: 'Many thanks for the delightful article on Miss Helyett in Le Petit Moniteur'). Some very light, minor age toning, VG Miss Helyett is an operette in three acts with music by Audran and was first performed at the Theatre des Bouffes-Parisiens in Paris on 12th November 1890. Le Petit Moniteur Universel was a French daily newspaper founded in January 1869.
