BOIELDIEU FRANCOIS-ADRIEN: (1775-1834) French composer of operas, often labelled 'the French Mozart'. The personal printed small oblong 12mo Visiting Card of Boieldieu, unsigned, featuring his printed name ( 'Boieldieu') to the centre and address at Boulevard Montmartre (Paris) at the base, with three lines of French text in his hand ( 'regrettant bien de me pouvoir de vive voix faire agreer l'expression de sa reconnaissance Monsieur Royer Collard') regretting that he is unable to express his gratitude in person to Mr. Royer-Collard. Neatly laid down, otherwise VG Pierre Paul Royer-Collard (1763-1845) French statesman and philosopher.
