[CARTER HOWARD]: (1874-1939) English archaeologist and Egyptologist who discovered the Tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. VERNEY HARRY: (1872-1950) British courtier who served in successive Royal Households of the United Kingdom including the post of Private Secretary to Queen Mary from 1919-35- A.L.S., Harry Verney, four pages, 8vo, n.p. (London), 8th April 1931, to Howard Carter ( ´Dear Mr. Carter´), on the printed stationery of Buckingham Palace, marked ´Personal´.
