GRIEG EDVARD: (1843-1907) Norwegian composer and pianist. Autograph Telegram Signed, Edvard, one page, oblong 8vo, n.p. (Clapham Common, London), n.d., to his wife, Nina Grieg ( ´Madame Grieg´) at the King of Denmark Hotel in Copenhagen. Grieg informs his wife that he has arrived safely and enquires ´How are you?´. Some light creasing and very slightly irregularly torn to the upper edge, G Nina Grieg (1845-1935) Danish-Norwegian lyric soprano, the first cosuin of Edvard Grieg whom she married in 1867. Grieg´s telegram is written on the printed stationery of 47 North Side, Clapham Common, the residence he stayed at when visiting London.

Published by R. Lechner of Vienna. In fine condition. Otto Bohler (1847-1913) was an Austrian silhouette artist who specialized in portraits of many great conductors, composers, and pianists of his time.
