LEHAR FRANZ: (1870-1948) Austro-Hungarian composer of operettas including The Merry Widow. A large vintage signed and inscribed sepia 11.5 x 15.5 photograph, the excellent image showing the composer standing in a three-quarter length pose and gently resting one hand on a small table at his side. Photograph by Ernst Schneider of Berlin and bearing his white ink signature to the lower left corner. Signed by Lehar to the background of the image, with a four line inscription in his hand, as well as the place and date. The text and signature are faded to the point of illegibility and are only barely visible. About EX
