Verdi is waiting for news from his correspondent, stating ` Mon cher Monsieur Cartier, n´ayant pas depuis longtemps entendu parler de l´affaire Mollien, je vous avais écrit hier. Aujourd´hui je viens de recevoir votre billet, et je m´empresse de vous envoyer la signature que vous me demandez…´ (Translation: ` My dear Mr. Cartier, having not heard about the Mollien affair since long ago, I did write to you yesterday. Today I have just received your note and I hasten to send you the signature that you require…´) With blank integral leaf. Very small minor age wear with a very small tear to the upper edge. G
