OASIS: A colour 25 x 35 promotional poster issued for the debut studio album Definitely Maybe (1994) by the English rock band Oasis, individually signed by all five band members comprising Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Paul ´Bonehead´ Arthurs, Paul ´Guigsy´ McGuigan and Tony McCaroll, featuring the colour image of the band by rock photographer Michael Spencer Jones that was used as the album´s front cover. Printed by GB Posters of Sheffield for Underworld Merchandising Ltd. Signed by each of the five band members in bold black inks to clear areas of the image, most with either their first names or nicknames only. Two neat, lengthy cuts to the left and upper edges where the white borders meet the image, and with some slight tape staining to the extreme edges. About VG Provenance: The vendor informs us that the signatures were obtained in person by an employee of Virgin when Oasis made an appearance at the Virgin Megastore in Marble Arch, London on 30th August 1994. Definitely Maybe went straight to Number 1 in the UK Albums Chart and became the fastest-selling debut album in British music history at the time. In 2006 a readers´ poll conducted by the NME voted Definitely Maybe to be the greatest album of all time.
