CHEVALIER MAURICE: (1888-1972) French actor, singer and entertainer, the recipeint of an Honorary Academy Award. Two vintage signed postcard photographs of Chevalier, both different and unusual images, the first depicting the entertainer wearing a bathing suit whilst performing a handstand outdoors, signed in blue fountain pen ink across a light area at the base of the image, ´Je ne te perds pas de vue!!! Maurice´ (Translation: ´I can´t let you out of my sight!!! Maurice´) and the second showing Chevalier standing outdoors in a full-length pose in a garden and holding a watering can in one hand, signed in black fountain pen ink at the base of the image, ´Thank you old pal - everything is O.K., Maurice´. Some minor surface creasing to the first postcard and the second with a couple of barely noticeable tears to one edge, neatly repaired to the verso. G to VG, 2
