GUINNESS ALEC: (1914-2000) English actor, Academy Award winner for Best Actor in 1957 for his role as Lieutenant Colonel Nicholson in The Bridge on the River Kwai. Signed 8 x 10 photograph of Guinness, standing outdoors in costume in a scene of The Bridge on the River Kwai, in a three-quarter length pose. The film won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Signed by Guinness in bold blue ink with his name alone to a clear area to the upper part of the image. VG

Known for his work on screen and stage, he has received various accolades, including a BAFTA TV Award, a Primetime Emmy Award and a Laurence Olivier Award, in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and four Golden Globes. In 2014, Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world, and in 2015, he was appointed a CBE for services to performing arts and charity. He is also a painter, and he was the main character in the Dr Strange movie by Marvel. This is a self portrait of himself in the movie made by Marvel. The painting was gifted to a famous magician Stephan Vanel, and it comes directly from his estate.
