Porcelain figurines representing an Indian couple in traditional costume enriched with gold motifs, depicting America, resting on a square base. Age wear, restorations, accidents, as is. H.: 23 cm - W.: 9.5 cm - D.: 10.5 cm.

North America - BURNABY (Andrew). Voyages to the Middle Colonies of Northern America, made in 1759 and 1760. With observations on the state of the colonies. Lausanne, La Société Typographique, 1778. Small in-8, fawn basane, ribbed spine decorated with fillets, red morocco title page, red edges (period binding). First French edition. The account of this voyage contains numerous descriptions of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. It also describes the discord between the states, and the tensions between the colonists and the Indian tribes. A good copy. With an errata and additions leaf bound between the end of the preface and the beginning of the text. Small marginal brown stain at end of volume.
