Jean-Jacques DE BOISSIEU (1736-1810) (attribué à)

"Two ducks in the water". Grey and blue wash (Small tear lower right; spotting and foxing) Annotated upper right J. J de Boissieu H. 11 - L. 15.5 cm. Expert: M. Patrice Dubois. Gilded wood frame. To be compared with the two ducks at the water's edge in a similar technique, of similar dimensions (11.8 x 13.2 cm) and the duck at the edge of a pond (11.1 x 14.7 cm), two studies from the former Léon Bonnat collection (1833 - 1922) in the Musée Bonnat - Helleu, Bayonne (N° NI 2146 / AL 1603 a NI 247 / AI 604).
